We offer optics made from crystals and salts. Materials such as
Sapphire, Potassium Chloride, Sodium Chloride, BaF2, CaF2, and MgF2. All have
interesting physical properties.
These materials have good transmission in the infra red, visible
and in the UV spectrum.
Having a low refractive index, lenses and windows from these
materials can often be used uncoated.
Potassium and Sodium Chloride have the useful and unusual property
of their refractive index change with temperature (dn/dT) being negative, and
find use in precision high power laser designs.
We can advise on the best choice of material for a particular
application, and can design optical elements made from them. |
